Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Subtypes

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a mental health diagnosis in which a person experiences excessive, unwanted thoughts that often lead to engagement in ritualistic, compulsive behavior. OCD can express itself in many ways. These expressions can be known as “subtypes.” Often, people with OCD will experience more than one subtype. Some OCD subtypes are: contamination OCD, checking OCD, relationship OCD, religious scrupulosity OCD, postpartum OCD, harm OCD, emotional contamination OCD and so many others.

If you are struggling with OCD, remember:
1) It is possible to experience relief from OCD symptoms and
2) You are NOT alone!
